Emergency Financial Aid

Providing immediate monetary assistance to help families overcome urgent financial crises.

  • A given person/family may request financial assistance once per year, or more if needed, but not to exceed a total of $1,000 per year.  The purpose of the fund is to provide emergency help in times of crisis, not as ongoing support.
  • Unusual circumstances may be considered as exceptional and a higher amount of money may be given after a review of the case by the Good Samaritan Fund Liaison and CCIC Council.

  • To assure accountability, no one shall be given cash.  The Good Samaritan Fund Liaison may only provide payments toward a utility bill, medical/prescription bill, rent, lodging, car repair, etc., or arrange for credit/gift cards for needed items such as gas or clothing.
  • Persons who are residents of the Cannon Falls area, but not
associated with a congregation, shall be directed to contact the Good Samaritan Fund Liaison who will contact the client for additional details needed.
