Gemini, Inc. gift helps expand CarePortal across Goodhue County
A generous gift from Cannon Falls-based Gemini, Inc. is helping strengthen a growing partnership between local churches and child-serving professionals to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families throughout Goodhue County.
Gemini recently donated $5,000 to support the mission of CarePortal, an online platform that connects vetted requests from social workers and other approved child welfare professionals with churches and community members who are willing to help.
How Churches can get involved with CarePortal
What is CarePortal? CarePortal is an online platform that connects requests from vetted Goodhue County social workers with local churches willing to help children and families in need.
Who Can Participate: Churches of every size and denomination are welcome. Congregations can respond independently or partner with other churches.
Ways Churches Can Help: Provide beds, cribs, car seats, clothing, diapers, household items, financial assistance, volunteers, transportation and other practical support.
Training is Available: Churches receive training on how CarePortal works and how to respond safely and effectively.
